Stuff I Like This Month (in no particular order)

1. M.U.S.C.L.E. (Millions of Unusual Small Creatures Lurking Everywhere). Did you know people are selling these on eBay? These little figures were so popular when I was a kid. I didn't have many. I found a bag containing hundeds at a toy sale at McKinley High School while I was a college student. A lady sold it to me for $5.00. Maybe it was cheaper but I know it was only a few bucks. That bag of M.U.S.C.L.E. figures is probably worth at least $150. I've seen lots of 100 go for that much.

2. Flintstones on Boomerang. Saw a groovy episode this afternoon. Wilma and Betty hatch a plan to make extra cash by each taking in a boarder. Naturally, Fred and Barney are not pleased with the arrangement until they realize the girls have actually made some nice dough.

3. Get Smart on DVD. I saw a commercial for this on TV. I used to wish I had a shoe phone like Agent Smart. I also had a crush on Agent 99. Maybe that's why I love the James Bond movies so much. A few days ago, I pulled out my 007 BOX SET my girlfriend bought for me on eBay. It came from Hong Kong and contains all the Bond movies expect for the latest Casino Royale. It also does not contain Never Say Never Again, which is not an official Bond movie although it stars Sean Connery in a remake of his earlier film Thunderball. That's too bad because I enjoyed the 1980s campiness and action of Never Say Never Again!

4. Nerf N-Strike dart guns. I love the Maverick. I bought one recently at Longs for 13.00. I overpaid. But I just had to have it. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it. Before this evening, I had researched modified Maverick and Nite Finder pistols on eBay for a weeks. I knew these only cost 7.99 on the Hasbro website but I knew these were probably sold out at Toys R Us and Wal-Mart. I was right. I don't regret the purchase because I was amazed at the range the Maverick is capable of. I drove over to my girlfriend's house and showed it to her. It was kind of embarassing because I was so excited. She let me fire a coupled darts at her window and refrigerator. That's why I love her. When I save up enough money, I'm going to buy the Long Strike, an impressive rifle with a fold-down bi-pod to help you steady your aim for important shots. They say the range on this is 35 feet. That's not very impressive. The Maverick and the Nite Finder can reach 35 feet, too. For 29.99, this rifle should be able to hit targets at least 45 feet away. I know there are crafty people who know how to modify their Nerf weapons to shoot farther, but I don't have the cash to buy modified dart guns on eBay. I have to save for a down payment on a house.

5. Real Talk Hawaii podcast on iTunes. I'm learning a lot about the real estate game by listening to Real Talk Hawaii on iTunes. You should listen to that podcast. It's great for a first-time home buyer or someone interested in becoming a realtor or an investor. Karen Uehara herself e-mailed me and thanked me for the feedback I left her on iTunes. Real Talk Hawaii is one of those podcasts that are a lot of fun to listen to even if you're not familiar with the topic. They make it fascinating to listen to. Highly recommended.
